Most of the houses in my neighborhood were built in the 1940's, and all of the houses on my side of the street were built in 1942, by Charles Manning McGregor. They all have Tudor-inspired peaked roofs and brick chimneys, little steps leading up to their front doors with decorative tile at the top, and metal peep holes centered in their wooden doors.
Each house was built with a slightly different floorplan, and some have two stories rather than one, but they make a neat little row as you walk down the street. One of my favorite differences between the houses is the stucco treatments that were used on their exteriors: no two are alike!
