From Afield: Panama City
It rained the entire time I was in Panama City (a heavy, steady downpour), so I didn't get to take as many pictures as I would have liked. My favorite part of town was Casco Viejo, which has all the features of an old-world city- cobbled streets, church squares, cute restaurants and bars- and also those of a ghost town filled with the decaying shells of historic buildings. As is true in most Latin American countries, hand-painted signs were everywhere, but unfortunately a lot of them were in neighborhoods where it wasn't really safe for me to get out of the car and wander around. Here's what I did capture!
