My mother collects Victorian jewelery, especially rings. As a kid I remember going with her to antique dealers in London, browsing through beautiful baubles and trinkets, and my favorite pieces were always the ones that featured turquoise, my birthstone. As an adult, I still love Victorian (as well as Georgian and Edwardian) turquoise jewelery, and the contemporary pieces it inspires. If I'm ever proposed to, I hope it is with an antique turquoise ring- no diamonds required. Here are some pieces, new and old, that I've been drooling over lately online.
